| Our holiday started with a journey to Manchester Airport, where we boarded a Air Malta flight, everything went well and we took off on time, the seats were well spaced out and the staff were all very helpful. Unlike most holiday flights these days the meals were included and they were quite nice as well which makes a change, as we had arranged to be met at the airport we did not need to rush to the taxi stand but instead just looked out for our local courier as arranged. |

| The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort and Spa is one of the most exclusive five star resort & spa in Malta. It is imposingly located on the edge of a cliff overlooking one of Malta's few sandy beaches, the Golden Bay or "Ramla Tal-Mixquqa" as it is locally known. The resort offers an unforgettable experience with stunning sea views and vast countryside views. The location is somewhat isolated in respect that there is not a lot of competition for things like restaurants, cafes nightime entertainment, and daytime shops, but that said the hotel comes with five different restaurants and numerous bars. Malta is not a large island and therefore it does not take long to travel about to different places, firstly the hotel runs a courtesy bus that will drop people off at different points of the journey to the capital Valletta, and will then pick up at the prearranged time and place. The local transport is quite entertaining as they are still using the old style coaches from the 60's see picture, close by if you go northwards to the ferry boat terminal "approximately 10minutes drive" which connects to the smaller island of Gozo. If you travel southwards it take you to St.Pauls Bay and the town of Bugibba "approximately 20-30minutes drive " where there is an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. |

| The journey to our hotel the “ Radisson Golden Sands Spa Resort “ at the Golden Bay, was made quite interesting by our driver who also gave us appropriate commentary when possible on the sights as we passed by, or as we approached them which made the journey quite informative.Upon our arrival we where greeted by our resort coordinator at which point he took care of all the booking in process apart from a couple of forms that we had to fill in, but they where quite straight forward. He then showed us to our apartment and arranged for the luggage to be delivered to the apartment, he also showed us around and answered any questions that we had at that time, then before leaving we arranged to meet again to ask any other questions.. |
